Tangem co-founder: The Ledger security incident once again confirms the security engineering principle that "complexity expands the attack surface."

PANews October 10 news, Tangem co-founder Andrey Lazutkin posted on X that the recent Ledger security incident once again confirms the security engineering principle that "complexity expands the attack surface." He pointed out that every additional component, software layer, and user interaction—such as screens, buttons, batteries, and firmware—introduces new potential points of failure and vulnerabilities, increasing the risks that need to be identified and mitigated. Based on this, Lazutkin defended the minimalist card-style design adopted by Tangem—a solution built around only a secure chip and an antenna—and said that this incident reinforced his judgment that the design philosophy is correct.
