PANews, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Mirendil, an AI startup founded by a former Anthropic researcher, is in talks for a new round of funding with a post-investment valuation of $5 billion, Bloomberg reported. Kleiner Perkins is in talks to lead the round, which could bring in up to $1 billion in new funding, and Andreessen Horowitz is also in talks to participate, people familiar with the matter said. Three months ago, Mirendil closed a $200 million seed round led by both institutions, valued at $1 billion. Founded earlier this year to build AI models that can improve themselves, the company plans to launch a cutting-edge model early next year.
