Crypto PAC Defend American Jobs invests $11.4M in Ohio Senate election

Defend American Jobs, a crypto-backed political action committee, declared to the Federal Election Commission that it had invested $11.4 million in the Ohio Senate election to support Republican candidate Jon Husted and oppose Democratic candidate Sherrod Brown. Defend American Jobs is affiliated with Fairshake, which is primarily backed by Coinbase, Ripple, and others, and this spending is part of Fairshake's previously announced initial $30 million Ohio election investment. Brown, a former chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, has opposed several pieces of legislation and policies that support the crypto industry in the past. (Cointelegraph)
