XPL flash crash causes Hyperliquid HLP vault to lose about $556,000, with 12 wallets withdrawing margin in advance.

PANews November 1 news: According to on-chain data monitoring, today's flash crash in the XPL price caused Hyperliquid's HLP vault to realize a loss of approximately $556,000. Previously, 16 wallets funded through centralized exchanges had been continuously building XPL long positions since October 29, holding a total of about 269 million XPL, with a notional exposure of about $23 million. Among them, the funds in 14 wallets were transferred in through Binance about two months ago, and 12 of those wallets withdrew about 2.02 million USDC before the price decline to reduce margin exposure.

As XPL rapidly fell from $0.086431 to $0.069429, a chain liquidation of long positions was triggered. After liquidation, the HLP vault passively took over about 160.39 million XPL long positions, with an average holding cost of $0.07592 and a notional value of about $12.18 million. The HLP vault ultimately closed the position at $0.0725, recording a loss of about $556,000.
