The crypto industry has invested over $200 million in the 2026 U.S. midterm elections.

PANews October 31 news, according to CNBC, cryptocurrency groups have become the largest single-issue super PAC bloc in U.S. history. According to Public Citizen, crypto-related organizations have invested more than $200 million in the 2026 midterm elections in this election cycle. The industry hopes to replicate its 2024 success. Fairshake and its affiliated super PACs are supporting 33 House candidates, including 19 Republicans and 14 Democrats, and have injected at least $1 million each into 6 incumbent representatives.

The crypto industry's current top priority is to push the digital asset market structure bill through, after the Clarity Act stalled in the Senate. The November elections will test its influence, with one focus being the Ohio Senate race, where Fairshake has spent $55 million opposing long-time crypto critic and Democratic candidate Sherrod Brown. Coinbase vice chairman Ryan VanGrack said the ultimate goal is to promote the modernization of the U.S. financial system.
