a16z Crypto is renamed a16z Frontier, expanding its investment scope to frontier startups.

PANews October 23 news: a16z managing partner Chris Dixon posted an announcement that a16z Crypto is officially renamed a16z Frontier, and its investment scope is expanded from crypto startups to a broader range of "frontier startups": namely, those companies dedicated to developing new technologies and creating new markets, and these markets may take years to mature. Dixon stated that this is a business expansion rather than a pivot, and the team will continue to invest in crypto and related projects and advocate for sound crypto regulation. As blockchain applications become more widespread, the boundary between crypto and other technologies is increasingly blurring, and it may be more reasonable to define companies by their actual business rather than by the technology they adopt.
