"AI stock god" Leopold's fund, after heavily betting on AI stocks in early September, faced another sell-off, with its seven holdings falling an average of 18.3%.

PANews October 18 news, according to Coin Bureau, "AI stock guru" Leopold Aschenbrenner's fund Situational Awareness was forced to liquidate in July this year and then repositioned into AI-related stocks, buying hundreds of millions of dollars in options in early September.

However, since September 8, 6 of the 7 stocks it focused its bets on have fallen sharply, including: CoreWeave down 37.4%, SK Hynix down 25.8%, SanDisk down 23.8%, DRAM down 22.9%, Bloom Energy down 18.1%, Intel down 9.4%, with only AMD rising against the trend by 9.1%; the 7 stocks fell by an average of 18.3%.

Situational Awareness's actual investment losses still depend on position size, option terms, and subsequent trades, but even with a long-term bullish view on AI development, options investments may still suffer losses if market movements do not match the expected timing.
