Former FTX Europe head's company Perpetuals.com plans to launch a tokenized U.S. stock trading platform.

PANews October 14 news, according to CoinDesk, Nasdaq-listed company Perpetuals.com plans to operate a tokenized securities trading platform under the SEC's five-year "innovation exemption" policy. The policy allows certain trading venues to conduct U.S. stock trading on public blockchains without registering as traditional stock exchanges. The company is led by former FTX Europe head Patrick Gruhn as CEO, a move that makes Perpetuals.com the second company after OKXICE to seek to operate a trading platform using the exemption policy.

Perpetuals has not yet determined a specific launch date, with trading potentially beginning as early as mid-November, depending on market data and compliance arrangements, smart contract security reviews, and the completion of other preparatory work, provided the aforementioned 30-day public notice period is completed.
