Strategy: BTC enters banking business expansion phase, global institutional adoption index rises to 34%

PANews October 13 news, Strategy posted on the X platform stating that its "Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index" rose to 34% in the third quarter of 2026, with Fidelity ranking first at 77%, JPMorgan Chase at 47%, and BNY at 46%, indicating that major global banks' adoption of Bitcoin and digital asset-related services continues to increase, but overall it is still at an early stage.

Strategy stated that as traditional financial institutions gradually explore digital asset infrastructure, Bitcoin-related services are extending from investment products to custody, financing, and financial application scenarios. The increase in the index this quarter was mainly driven by several developments, including the expansion of access to Bitcoin ETF/ETP products, an increase in institutional custody services, and the development of lending businesses using BTC as collateral. At the same time, progress in the stablecoin and asset tokenization sectors also contributed to the rise in the index.
