Goldman Sachs CEO denies resignation rumors, says there is currently no leadership transition plan or timetable.

PANews October 13 news: Goldman Sachs Group CEO David Solomon downplayed recent rumors that the company might undergo a leadership transition, calling them just "noise." Goldman Sachs Chief Operating Officer John Waldron has long been seen as a potential successor to Solomon. Recent reports suggested that Solomon could step down as early as next year, bringing the timing of Goldman Sachs' leadership transition back into the market spotlight.

Solomon said on Tuesday during an earnings conference call with analysts: "I want to be clear that Goldman Sachs currently has no succession transition underway, nor is there any related timetable. The board and I are fully focused on the company's growth strategy and on continuing to provide excellent service to our clients." He added that he is satisfied with the company's progress, which has also made him enjoy his current work even more.
