Personal AI assistant Tab emerges from stealth with a $300 million valuation

PANews October 8 news, according to TechCrunch, personal AI assistant startup Tab announced on Tuesday that it is officially emerging from stealth, with a valuation of $300 million (the company did not disclose the specific funding amount). Investors include SV Angel, Valar Ventures, and American Spirit. Tab was founded earlier this year by Brennan Erbz, Stafford Schlitt, and Ammar Amdani. Users can send text instructions to it via iMessage or WhatsApp to complete everyday tasks such as ordering groceries, booking travel, and selecting gifts. The assistant has its own phone number, computer, and wallet. Amdani said the company is currently growing mainly through word of mouth and plans to launch new products soon. Tab emphasizes that user data is not used to train AI, bank card information is stored in a vault it cannot view, and irreversible operations must be confirmed by the user.
