Strategy plans to change the four categories of perpetual preference shares to daily dividend registration and next day payment

PANews reported on September 25 that Strategy Inc (MSTR) filed an 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to disclose that the board of directors has approved a proposal to amend the terms of the four categories of perpetual preferred shares STRF, STRC, STRK and STRD to set each calendar day as a regular dividend registration date and pay it on the next business day after the dividend is declared. The proposal still requires shareholder approval. The special shareholders' meeting is expected to be held online on October 28, with the registration date being September 25. If approved, STRC expects to pay its first dividend under the new arrangement on November 2, while STRF, STRK and STRD are expected to start paying dividends on January 4, 2027. Strategy said the revision will not change the dividend rate of the four classes of preferred shares, the total amount of regular dividends or the company's overall dividend payment obligations.
