Macroeconomic outlook for next week: September minutes may reveal disagreements within the Fed about raising interest rates, and earnings reports will usher in a rare gap period

PANews October 4 news, according to Jinshi, in a week of trading marked by an unexpectedly weak nonfarm payrolls report and long-end U.S. Treasury yields rising again, the Federal Reserve's rate hike path, Middle East and energy policy, and dollar liquidity became the three main threads moving global assets. The following are the key points the market will focus on in the new week (all Beijing time):

Monday 17:00, Eurozone August PPI MoM;

Monday 22:00, U.S. September ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI;

Tuesday 22:45, Federal Reserve Governor Bowman speaks;

Wednesday TBD, U.S. 20- to 30-year Treasury buyback operation size;

Thursday 02:00, the Federal Reserve releases the minutes of its September monetary policy meeting;

Thursday 03:00, U.S. August consumer credit;

Thursday 20:30, U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ending October 3.

The U.S. third-quarter earnings season has not yet officially begun, and bank stocks usually lead off only in mid-October, so next week is a rare earnings gap period. Before the traditional strong period for U.S. stocks in the fourth quarter, long-end yields, the midterm elections, and earnings will be three important variables.
