Token projects delay the delivery of tokens and need to verify the agreement and dispute procedures

Odaily Planet Daily News When a token project fails to deliver tokens as agreed, investors need to check the signed agreement, attachments, revised documents and cover letters to confirm the legal entity undertaking the obligation, the number or calculation method of tokens, delivery triggering events, vesting arrangements and transfer restrictions.

Estimated launch dates published for projects do not equate to binding delivery deadlines. When tokens have been distributed to other participants, it is necessary to determine whether the delivery obligation has been triggered based on the definition of token generation events in the agreement, whether investors have completed prerequisites, and the actual behavior of the project party.

When a project requires extending the locking period, reducing the allocation amount, changing tokens, or changing the responsible party, it should check whether its contract authorization and amendment documents contain rights waiver clauses. Investors can retain payment records, transaction hashes, wallet addresses, communication records and project announcements, and verify notices, redress, negotiations, arbitration or litigation proceedings.
