Microsoft X Account Hijacked Promo Clippy Theme Meme Coin

Microsoft's official X account, the Odaily Planet news technology company, was accessed unauthorized on Thursday, briefly focusing on accounts promoting unofficial Meme coins, retweeting related tweets, and replacing the avatar with Clippy.

The content was removed after about 30 minutes, and Microsoft subsequently confirmed that the account had been restored to security and that unauthorized content had been removed, and said it would continue to investigate. Microsoft said it has never authorized anyone to use intellectual property promotion tokens, including Clippy, and plans to take legal action.

The name of the token is clippy, and the account Clippy MSFT once advertised a liquidity pool worth more than $200,000, which some promoters said was backed by Microsoft's real stock, but this claim has not been verified and has no official connection with Microsoft. (Bitcoin.com News)
