Under IIP-59, voter rewards will be calculated and distributed on-chain in each reward era, eliminating off-chain services and intermediaries, and anyone can directly verify each payment from the chain. The first on-chain distribution will take place the next day. This upgrade also strengthens consensus through proof-of-possession checks on delegate keys, preparing for subsequent BLS signature aggregation. Node operators need to upgrade to iotex-core v2.5.1, with no configuration changes or resynchronization required.
