South Korean cryptocurrency exchange operating profits drop 78% in first half of 2026

During the same period, average daily trading volume fell by 44%, total market capitalization fell by 33%, Korean won deposits fell by 35%, and exchange revenue fell by 41%.

The investigation covered 26 registered virtual asset service providers, including 17 exchange operators and 9 custody and wallet service providers, and the statistical period was from January 1 to June 30, 2026.
