Due to fluctuations in the KOSPI 200 index futures index, the validity of program sell orders in the securities market was suspended for 5 minutes. When triggered, the KOSPI 200 futures index stood at 955.02 points, down 51.20 points (5.08%) from the previous trading day's close. The sell-side circuit breaker in the securities market is triggered when the KOSPI 200 futures index falls by more than 5% and remains so for 1 minute. This is the first circuit breaker triggered in the KOSPI market since August 20, and the first sell-side circuit breaker since the 19th of the same month.
