The deadline for deferred tax filing for the 2025 tax year in the United States is October 15. Crypto-related traders need to check the filing information

PANews reported on October 5 that according to Crowdfund Insider, the U.S. personal federal income tax extension filing for the 2025 tax year will be due on October 15. The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) stipulates that this deadline applies to taxpayers who have previously applied for an extension and is not a new deadline specific to crypto assets; the extension only extends the time for tax filing, not the time for tax payment. For digital asset transactions in 2025, the Form 1099-DA provided by the broker may not include the cost basis, and taxpayers still need to calculate the relevant gains or losses by themselves and declare them in accordance with regulations.
