Visa: The application of stablecoins in commercial payments has surged, with transaction volume increasing by nearly 200% year-on-year

PANews reported on October 3 that according to the latest data released by Visa, stablecoins are increasingly becoming an important part of corporate financial infrastructure. From fiscal year 2026 to now, approximately 17% of stablecoin-related card transaction volume comes from commercial and corporate card projects, reflecting the increasing adoption rate of stablecoins by enterprises in settlement, fund management, salary payment and cross-border trade.

Currently, Visa has supported more than 160 stablecoin-related card projects covering personal and commercial fields, and related payment transaction volume has increased significantly by nearly 200% year-on-year. Data from industry research institution Allium further confirms this trend. Payment has become the fastest-growing application scenario for stablecoins. The annual payment scale is expected to be between 401 billion and 527 billion US dollars, of which B2B payments account for as high as 43% of cross-border transactions. Visa executives said that companies are viewing stablecoins as a reliable tool for transferring funds, rather than just an innovative attempt.
