PANews reported on September 24 that according to market news, Genius, the on-chain trading terminal invested by YZi Labs, has adjusted its points activities in the second quarter. It was originally promised to unlock 70 million GENIUS tokens on October 25 to encourage users to trade and accumulate points, but the season rules and distribution arrangements were subsequently changed. The official document previously stated that the second season will last from April 10 to August 10, and the daily points will be 1.5 million; the page has been recently updated, the season end date has been removed, and the daily points have been reduced to 50,000. CoinMarketCap data shows that the unlocking time of the 70 million tokens has been postponed to February 2028. Some participants requested that they be unlocked at the original time or that the fees related to the second season be refunded.
Genius is suspected of adjusting the points rules and pushing the unlocking of 70 million tokens to 2028, causing dissatisfaction in the community.
